Draft — legal review pending

This text is a draft. Have it reviewed by a legal specialist before launch.

1. The service

Hackie explains topics in visual, step-by-step guides generated with AI. The explanations are general and informative and do not replace professional advice. See also our Privacy Policy.

2. Your account

You need your own account. You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for activity from your account.

3. Children and permission

We do not ask for your age at registration and do not collect data specifically targeted at children. Users under 16 need permission from a parent or guardian to use Hackie. That parent or guardian is responsible for supervising use.

4. No personalised ads

Hackie does not show personalised advertisements based on your behaviour or personal data.

5. Use and liability

You use Hackie as intended. AI-generated explanations may contain errors. Always verify important information yourself, especially regarding health, money, electricity, tools and fire. HulpTool is not liable for damages from following the explanations.

6. Account deletion

You can delete your account and personal data at any time via Account → "Delete account". Generated guides remain available as an anonymous cache.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. For important changes we'll notify you via the app or email (if you've given consent).

8. Subscription, renewal and cancellation

Hackie offers a free account and paid subscriptions (Lite and Pro), monthly or yearly. A paid subscription renews automatically at the end of the term unless you cancel beforehand. You can cancel anytime via your account or our support; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Current prices are on the plans page. A one-time lifetime purchase does not expire.

10. Limitation of liability

AI-generated explanations may contain errors and are intended as general information. To the extent HulpTool is liable, that liability is limited to a maximum of the amount you paid for your subscription in the past twelve months. This limitation does not apply to intent or gross negligence by HulpTool.

11. Abuse and blocking

In case of abuse, fraudulent use or conduct contrary to these terms, HulpTool may temporarily or permanently block an account. We will notify you, unless this is reasonably impossible.
